Udupi: A bullet tanker overturned on NH 66 near Karantha Theme Park Road Kota here on May 29 midnight.
The accident took place when the tanker, belonging to Indane Gas, was on its way from Mangaluru to Mumbai moved to the side of the road to give way to another vehicle to pass by at around 11:30 p.m. The technical team form Indian Oil Corporation arrived to the spot and started to shift the Liquefied Petroleum Gas to another tanker.
No one was injured in the accident. The traffic on the route was diverted for sometime. Fire and Rescue teams from Kundapur and Udupi arrived to the spot and have taken all the necessary precautions to evert any untoward incident.
