Udupi: “Congress needs no lessons from the BJP government whose leaders were jailed for corruption charges,” said Youth Congress leader Amrith Shenoy. He was speaking at a protest organized in front of the Clock Tower against the central government’s alleged political vendetta to ruin Congress.
“It is not wrong to own a newspaper to publish one’s views. Shiv Sena also publishes their party’s views. Congress had National Herald newspaper in its possession. Subramanian Swamy and PM Narendra Modi are targeting Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi by levelling baseless allegations. Subramanian Swamy should first question the irregularities and corruption in BJP-led NDA government. He is silent on the corruption charges on Arun Jaitley in the cricket board and also on the cover-up of Smriti Irani’s educational qualifications. Swamy will lose the National Herald case,” he added.
He further went on to say, “Swami is mentally challenged. On his visit to a wedding, he was asked to bless the Mangalsutra but he went ahead to tie the Mangalsutra to the bride’s neck. Congress needs no lessons from Swamy.”
The Gandhi family, Congress leaders Oscar Fernandes, Shyam Pitroda and other shareholders have not received any financial assistance. The BJP by influencing the judiciary wants to ruin Congress but they will lose at every level, he added.
KPCC Secretary M A Gaphoor, CMC president Yuvraj, Councillor Ramesh Kanchan, Block Congress president Sathis Ameen Padukere, Congress leader Sunil D Bangera, Prasahanth Jattanna, Prashanth Poojary, Kiran Kumar Udyavara, Nagesh Udyavara, Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, Sujaya Poojary, Dinish Putran and others were present.
