Udupi: The Congress led state government, as to create a rift in the society, is barring Praveen Bhai Togadia from entering into Udupi alleged, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, Convener Bharatiya Janatha Party. He was addressing a press meet at District BJP office, Udupi here on March 7.
“The Deputy Commissioner and the District Superintendent of Police are forced to induce the ban order on Praveen Bhai Togadia by the Congress government to erupt the sentiments of Hindus. Hindu leaders are forbidden to express their views in Hindu country which indicates the intentions of the government to suppress like-minded associations which aim to unite Hindus.”
“Praveen Bhai had participated in the Hindu Samajothsava which was held in 2003 and no violence or hate speech was recorded. The district administration are quoting the incidents of Shimoga and Gangolli, which do not link to the ban order, have barred Praveen Bhai.”
“The Hindu community will not tolerate the nuisance created by the Congress led state government to suppress the freedom guaranteed by the Constitution of India.” He also said that by barring Praveen Bhai, the Congress has provoked the Hindu community against their divide and rule system.
He also said that they have met Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development and Minister in-charge District, to scrap the ban order. Vinay Kumar said that he was not aware of the ban order and has said that he will go through it. Mattaru alleged that it is the fate of the government which is not even aware of the orders initiated by its officials.
A committee comprising of religious heads and BJP will be meeting the Deputy Commissioner to reconsider his stand on barring Praveen Bhai Togadia from entering to Udupi District. A lawful remedy will be sought if the Deputy Commissioner fails to revoke the ban order.
“Hindu community organizes Hindu Samajothsava to promote peace and unity among all. There was no violence reported in Hindu Samajothsava held in Mangaluru, then why is the District administration and police department targeting the Hindu community?”
