Udupi: Cultural fiesta with devotional blend to mark Paryaya celebrations – Dr Veerendra Heggade

Udupi: The cooperation of all people in Udupi will double the joy of the Paryaya celebrations,” said Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math. He was speaking after inaugurating the media centre at Yathri Nivas here, on January 13.

Swamiji said that when dignitaries and VVIPS wished to join the Paryaya celebrations they are welcome, we assure that the devotees will also not suffer. Devotees should support the district administration in this regard.

The President of Paryaya Welcome Committee, Dr Veerendra Heggade has been effectively working with Dr Mohan Alva and others for the success of the Paryaya which is appreciable. “The media is also effectively supporting the Paryaya celebrations,” he added.

The Paryaya of Pejawar Math Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji is a blend of both culture and devotion. “The cultural fiesta in order to attract all age groups is effectively planned,” said Dr Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmastala. He was addressing a press meet after the inauguration of the Wi-Fi facility at the media centre in Yathri Nivas, Udupi.

The Paryaya procession will be witnessing the rich cultural heritage of our nation. The tableaus, folklore teams and cultural teams of Sri Krishna Math will also be participating in the Paryaya procession. The cultural teams from Punjab, Pune, Alandi Maharashtra, Bor Maharashtra, Kerala, Gujarat, Andra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Goa will be participating in Paryaya procession.

Heggade also said that it is a matter of pride and honour that Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji is acclaiming the Paryaya Peetha. “Devotees should participate in the Paryaya with great fervor and devotion. Media is effectively involved in the Paryaya celebrations, the glimpses of the Paryaya is reaching out to the people,” he added.

M Raghuram Acharya, Bhuvanendra Kediyoor, Balaji Raghavendra Acharya and others were present.
