Udupi DC Jagadeesha Announces Holiday For Schools and Colleges On Oct 26
Udupi: In view of the Meteorological Department’s (IMD) warning that a depression in the Arabian sea could intensify into a Cyclone, the Udupi district administration has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges including PU and Degree colleges on October 26.
Keeping in mind the safety of the school children, Deputy Commissioner Jagadeesha has announced the holiday on October 26.
According to the IMD’s forecast, waves are expected to reach a height of three meters and the wind over 60 kmph.
Fishermen have also been warned not to venture into the sea for the next three days.
