The protest was called off in the evening on march 3 following Deputy Commissioner R Vishal’s assurance of addressing their problems within 10 days. He held talks with Koraga leaders Srimathi and Ganesh Barkur, and said that as the matter was in the court, some time was required to vacate the injunction.

It is to be noted here that the government, after de notifying the land earlier notified for construction of a hospital and a school in the colony, had allotted land to 20 Koraga families. The government had even sanctioned funds for the construction of their houses.
