Udupi: “We are juniors and they are seniors. The discontent between senior Congress leaders, Janardhan Poojary and Veerappa Moily, will be settled with the party’s interference,” said UT Khader, Minister for Health and Family Welfare. He was speaking to the mediapersons after declaring Udupi as the “Blood Donors District” on a programme organised by the G Shanker Family Trust at Shamili Auditorium here, on September 19.

Former Chief Minister D V Sadananada Gowda then made a budgetary provision for the Yettinahole project. Before implementing the project, the then chief minister of Karnataka D V Sadananda Gowda should have held discussions with the people of DK. But even without preparing the DPR, the project was sanctioned. The technical issues were not effectively discussed then, and this has paved way to confusion among the people.

“The issues with Yettinahole project are being effectively discussed with the Irrigation minister. He is sending a team of experts to the district to address the issues of the project. A team of experts from the Irrigation ministry will be holding effective discussions with the people regarding the project.”

“Every effort will be held to implement Pashchimavahini Project for Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District where a series of vented dams will be built on rivers for water conservation. The Chief Minister has been briefed on the project and an effective decision will be taken.”

He further said that the expansion and reshuffle of the cabinet is decided by the Chief Minister, High Command and the leaders of the party. “I bow to the party’s decision”. While asked whether the Chief Minister would ask resignation of all the ministers in the cabinet and reshuffle the cabinet, he replied that the Chief Minister will decide on the same.

There are no technical issues with the Rajiv Arogya Bhagya project. The android application has been launched to felicitate the effective implementation of the project, he said.

Commenting on Udupi’s status as blood donors’ district, he said that the district has the highest blood donors in the state. “The district has created awareness among the people of Karnataka. The announcement of Blood Donors District will promote blood donation among the people of other districts,” he added.

MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, CMC president Yuvraj were present.
