Udupi Dist BJP all set to receive ‘Parivartana Yatra’, Irani, Fadnavis, Gadkari to be expected
Udupi: The Udupi district Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to receive the Parivartana Yatra under the state party president, BS Yeddyurappa to Udupi district said Mattar Rathnakar Hegde District BJP president.
He was speaking at a press meet held at the District BJP office. he said that the Yatra will be arriving in Udupi district on November 12 morning at 10:45 near the district border Hejamady. A public function will be organised at 11:00 am at the Kaup Bus stand, later the Yatra will proceed to Hebri and Udupi. In Udupi at the Chittaranjan Circle, a public function is organised at 6:00 pm.
On November 13 the Yatra will be reaching Kundapur and a public function is organised at the Nehru Maidan. After that, the yatra will proceed to Byndoor. National leader’s Smriti Irani, Devendra Fadnavis and Nitin Gadkari are expected for the yatra. The state leaders were in touch with all the three leaders. More than 15000 people are expected for the yatra in every constituency, he added.
The Yatra is expected to highlight the achievements of Yeddyurappa as chief minister in 2008 and that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre. The yatra will seek the votes of the people by highlighting the failures and corruption of the Siddaramaiah government in the state and the achievements of the BJP leadership under Yeddyurappa in 2008 and PM Modi at the Centre since 2014. While the national leaders will arrive at their convenience, through the rally the local MPs, MLAs and party office bearers will accompany Yeddyurappa in the rally, he said.
Udupi former MLA Raghupathi Bhat alleged Udupi CMC commissioner Manjunathaiah of behaving as a “Congress agent”. He has denied permission to hold the public function at Chittaranjan Circle and has sent our letter to the Deputy Commissioner. We have already discussed the issue with Superintendent of Police and Deputy Commissioner and they have positively assured our leaders. We are hopeful that the DC will give us the permission to hold the public function, he added.
Former Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, ZP president Dinakar Babu, BJP leaders Shyamala Kunder, Kuthyaru Naveen Shetty, Katapadi Shanker Poojary, Suresh Nayak, Yashpal Suvarna, and others were present.
