Udupi Dist Youth Congress holds Rail Roko against MP Golibar and arrest of Rahul Gandhi

Udupi: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) Udupi district activists staged a “Rail Roko” protest at Indrali railway station in support of the farmers’ protest in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, June 10.

They also protested the detention of party vice president Rahul Gandhi in Neemuch district on the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border. Gandhi was on his way to Mandsaur to meet the families of the farmers.

Addressing the protesters Vishwas Ameen Youth Congress President said that Acche Din today have gunned down farmers in Madhya Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi’s promise of good days have turned to bad days as farmers are in crisis. Abki Baar Modi Sarkar has turned to Abki Baar Golibar Sarkar. The BJP government led by CM Shivaraj Singh Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh have ruined farmers by cornering their voices. The 6 farmers are gunned down to ruin the protests.
Then BJP government in Karnataka led by B. S. Yeddyurappa
had sworn in the name of farmers but later gunned down farmers in Haveri. A central minister from MP as busy in Yoga while the state is in crisis. The government should be uprooted from the power, he added.

Congress General Secretary Vignesh Kini said that MP government has silenced the farmers by gunning down 6 farmers. The incident showcases the love and affection towards farmers by BJP. BJP is known for ruining farmers, Youth Congress condemns the incident. PM Modi should think that he is the PM of India and not of globe, he should focus on farmers than on international issues. The farmers are in the crisis in the nation. He should address their issue effectively added.

The members of Youth Congress Shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.

The protesting Youth Congress members, who attempted to enter inside the railway station to disrupt railway operations, were taken into custody by the police and later released.

A heavy police security was put in place at the Indrali Railway Station to prevent members from entering the station to block the movement of trains by squatting on the tracks. The DySP of Udupi Kumarswami, Sampath Srikanth CPI Brahmavar, and other Police officers were present at the spot.

Vishwas Ameen president of the District Youth Congress, Vignesh Kini General Secretary, Congress leader Prashanth Poojary, Prakyath Shetty, Christen Almeida, Prashanth Jathanna, Prabhakar Acharya and others were present.
