Udupi: Udupi district ranks second in Sakala services said Deputy Commissioner Dr R Vishal. He was addressing the mediapersons at the Deputy Commissioners Office, Rajathadri, Manipal here on April 22.
3700 applications, filed during April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2016, are disposed. The district ranked first in November. 51,931 applications were received in March 2016 and 52,393 application including the applications of the month of February are also disposed.
Chikballapur district ranks first in disposing applications under Sakala services. The district is also progressing under PLO. Udupi Taluk ranks first in Bhoomi services. The services of ADC Chennabasappa and Tahsildar Guruprasad are to be appreciated. Efforts will be made to rank Udupi in the first place in Sakala and Bhoomi services.
1855 applications filed under Quasi-judicial procedures, Regional Transport Authority, and others are disposed. 14924 applications received in the revenue adalath and 18819 applications are disposed. 121.21 acres of land is reserved for government purpose while 307.69 acres of land is reserved for private purpose. The 449.53-acre land has been converted and Rs 91.87 lakh is received in this regard.
The DPR of Rs 69 crore for Temple endowment has been prepared and Rs 10 crore has been released for the works, the target is set for the completion of work to Rs 30 crore this year. There is no drought in the district, water is distributed to 19 villages through tankers.
ADLR Kusumadhar said that a decision has been made to appoint 66 surveyors. Students who have passed with 66% and more in science, diploma in civil, GOC survey students can also apply. Students will be given 4 months training.
Sand mining has been started in 23 areas, 4.3 lakh metric ton sand is available. The IRB company NH construction work is also given 3 areas for sand mining and 3 other areas will be given to SC/ST’s.
