Udupi district Records Three COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours
Udupi: Three more including an Eminent Tulu scholar UP Upadhyaya died for Covid-19 in Udupi District on Saturday, July 18, taking the COVID-19 death toll in the district to 11.
According to Dr Sudhirchandra Sooda, DHO Udupi, A 88-year-old man suffering from heart disease, a 20-year-old woman from Karkala, who was suffering from cancer, and a 65-year-old man from Sanoor, Karkala suffering from Asthama, breathed their last in the last 24 hours.
With three more deaths, the toll in the district has now risen to 11.
The funeral of the deceased was held as per the COVID-19 protocol.
