Udupi: Dr Veerendra Heggade Inaugurates Office of Pejawar Paryaya

Udupi: The Paryaya Darbar of Pejawar Math, Shree Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji will be organized at the Shree Krishna Math parking area instead of the Ranjangana and the Swamijis of all eight maths will be consulted in this regard, said Dr Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadikari of Shree Kshetra Dharmastala and President of Paryaya Samiti.

He was speaking after inaugurating the office of the 5th Paryaya of Pejawar Math, Shree Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji at the Pejwar Math premises here on September 20.

The Paryaya Samiti will meet once in 15 days to plan programmes. With modern technology, the plans can be executed in 3 months. Special attention should be given to cleanliness, prayer services and parking.

There will be three types of offerings (Horakanike). Sudhama Kanike will be offered by the general public themselves in person. A group of three and more people together can also present their offerings. Bheema Kanike – a form of offering – will be brought in goods carriers. Three separate counters will be opened for the same.

Rooms have already been booked in hotels around the city. SDM Ayurveda College hostel will be used for guests. Dr Mohan Alva will be providing 10,000 beds during the Paryaya to accommodate guests.

Information regarding all the preparations will be brought to the notice of Shree Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji and his consent will be taken before their implementation.

Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development and Minister in-charge of the district, who is also the working president of the Paryaya Samiti, launched the Paryaya website.

Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, Pejawar Paryaya working president Dr M Mohan Alva, MB Puranik, Harikrishna Punaroor, Buvanendra Kediyoor, general secretary of Paryaya Samiti Balaji Raghavendra Acharya, President of Town Development Authority Janardhan Thonse, CMC President Yuvraj and others were present.

H. Krishna Bhat, general secretary of Paryaya Samithi welcomed the gathering, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura proposed vote of thanks. Organizing Secretary Muralai Kadekar compered the programme.
