Udupi: Health Check-up Camp Marks 48th Birthday of MLA Pramod Madhwaraj

Udupi: MLA Pramod Madhwaraj has initiated a corruption free administration in Udupi constituency, said Shree Lakshmivaratheertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math.

He was speaking after inaugurating the health check-up camp organised as part of the birthday celebrations of MLA Pramod Madhwaraj at the Congress Bhavan Udupi.

“Pramod Madhwaraj has facilitated developmental works for the all round development of Udupi. He has been serving the poor and the marginalized. He is effectively rendering his service as a politician and also a social worker for the society. In the days to come, Pramod Madhwaraj should become a minister,” he added.

Mohammed Hanif Madani of Ambagilu Jumma Masjid said that Pramod has been serving the poor and marginalized with simplicity and a humane approach. His service towards mankind should continue and flourish.

Fr William Martis director for Inter religious Dialogue Udupi diocese said that the Madhwaraj family is a model to every one. “They have strived hard to promote development in Udupi district. Pramod and Manorama Madhwaraj are known for their simplicity and service to the society, which Pramod has also adopted in his life.”

Pramod Madhwaraj speaking on the occasion said that holding a health check-up camp on his birthday has brought him great satisfaction. He said that he does not believe in celebrating birthdays but his friends and party workers insisted him to celebrate his birthday. “God has blessed me abundantly in my life. Sharing the blessings with my people brings me great satisfaction,” he added.

Dr Padmaprasad Hegde – professor and Head of the department Urology Dept KMC Manipal – presided over the function. Veronica Cornelio – Chairperson of KSDL, Yuvraj – president of CMC Udupi, Janardhan Thonse – Chairman of UUDA, and others were present.
