Udupi: The spirit of football was brought alive on the grounds of Don Bosco Youth Centre Shirva as a football tournament ‘Bosco Bi-centenary Cup’ was held as part of the Bi-centenary event organised by Bosco Youth Association here on July 19. Fr Joel D’Souza SDB, Administrator of DBYC Shirva declared ‘Bosco Bi-centenary Cup’ open.

Fourteen teams gathered from various parts of Mangaluru and Udupi for the annual football tournament. The grand event began with an invocation. The ball was set in motion by talented and spirited players from Catholic faith. Heavy showers of rain and the cold breeze added fun to the day. In spite of the rain Gods not relenting, the players never allowed themselves to be discouraged.’
