Udupi Lass Shaasthra Shetty crowned ‘Miss Teen Sea Grand Asia 2017’ held in Bulgaria

Mangaluru: Yet another moment for the Coastal Region to be proud of- Shaasthra Shetty, the gorgeous lass hailing from Udupi, has been crowned ‘Miss Teen Grand Sea Asia 2017’ in one of the world’s prestigious beauty pageants ‘Miss and Mr Grand Sea 2017’ that was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. Apart from this title, Shetty also bagged the “Best National Costume”, “Best Talent and Miss Impressive 2017” titles.

Shaasthra is pursuing media and communications at the School of Communication, Manipal University and is the proud daughter of Shashi Shetty and Sharmila Shetty. Her ambition is to become a IFS Officer.

Prior to this International beauty title, she was “Miss Karavali Style Icon” and also won the ‘Miss Mangalore’ contest held in Mangaluru- which got her to compete in the “Miss South India” to be held in January 2018.

She has also participated in college-level competitions and was among the eight finalists in ‘Speak for India’ national-level debate competition.

In the pageant in Bulgaria, Shaasthra faced tough competition with contestants from 30 countries including Austria, Brazil, South Africa, Myanmar, Hungary, and many others.
