Udupi: A 5.16 km long ring road will be constructed in Perdoor, said Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development and Minister in-charge District. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone at the construction sites of Mukkadajeddu, Bannapalli and Kukkajaru roads in the purview of Perdoor Panchayat here, on April 24.
The roads constructed under ‘Namma Grama, Namma Raste’ will be maintained for 5 years and the maintenance contracts will be renewed after 5 years. The BPL cards for 330 applicants will be issued after linking them with the EPIC number.
To facilitate welfare and development in Perdoor, Rs 18 crore has been sanctioned. Special attention has been given to provide drinking water round the clock. A grant of Rs 50 lakhs has been released for the dam project.
The minister also inaugurated the Mutturme Jeduvi-Padigar Road, Devasa Kudabi Worshipping Centre and distributed funds to the beneficiaries of various government schemes.
