Udupi: “Narendra Modi’s mann-ki-baat has turned to monkey-ki-baat (monkey’s talk) as his promise of rooting out corruption seems to be restricted only to talks,” said Janardhan Poojary. He was addressing the mediapersons at a press meet held at the Press Club here, on July 4.

“The PM should express the blunders of his government in ‘Mann-Ki-Baat’ rather than speaking on the promises which cannot be fulfilled. Modi’s silence over the recommendation of clearance for the travel documents of Lalit Modi by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Vasundhara Raje’s financial transactions with Lalit Modi is haunting the people of India. The central government should refer the case of Lalit Modi’s links with Sushma Swaraj and Vasundara Raje for investigation.”

“The BJP led NDA government came to power by making tall promises of rooting out corruption from the country but has so far failed to fulfill its promise. Narendra Modi has redefined the term corruption by remaining silent on Sushma Swarajand Vasundara Raje. The Vyapam scam, fake degree case of Maharashtra’s Education Minister Tawde and many other scams are haunting the BJP.”

“The Vyapam scam has greatly affected the BJP in Madhya Pradesh. 2000 people have been accused in the case with 55 FIRs and 1,900 of them have been lodged in jails. 40 accused have died under mysterious circumstances and this needs to be probed by the CBI.”

“Cleaning roads may be a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan but we should first clean our hearts.” Poojary said that he has also cleaned toilets and schools while he was the president of KPCC and will continue to do so.

“The Congress led state government should immediately refer the corruption case of Lokayukta to the CBI. Lokayukta Justice Bhaskar Rao has killed the hopes that people had in the Lokayukta. The government should direct the police department to arrest the Lokayukta’s son and initiate a detailed probe. The government should come out in support of the Lokayukta SP Sonia Narang instead of registering an FIR on her.”

“Opposition parties always demand CBI probe into every incident. The BJP and JD(S) remained silent on every corruption case during their tenure and said that they don’t trust the CBI, but these days, they have more hopes on CBI than on the state investigation agencies.”

“BS Yeddyurappa and HD Kumaraswamy are causing difficulties to the farmers by misleading them. They should understand that people will not trust them again. The central government has an equal role to play in the issues faced by the farmers. The UPA government had waived loans of the farmers while it was in power. The central government should reach out to solve the problems of the farmers.”

“The BJP led NDA government in the centre has completed 14 months in power but their promises of extending better health care, education, economic status to the 125 crore population have not yet materialized. Narendra Modi has not lived up to his promises,” he added.

Harish Kini, Keshav Kotian, Sujay Poojary, Krishnaraj Saralaya and others were present.

Jannana’s comedy show recycles an old joke!! I’m hoping that all of his comedy shows are video recorded. This would be a great source for future political science students to study the behavioural patterns of insecure and irrelevant politicians!! smiles…

I fully agree and endorse comments of Arun Kumar Shetty. JP s statements stink and his only objective is to indulge in loose talk to play to the gallery.

“Modi is silent over ….” says Janardhana Poojary. Modi remained totally silent over post Godhra issue, even after Vajpayee warned him to adhere to Raja Dharma! He opened his mouth about the excesses during his 12 years rule in Gujarat, for the first time only after he became the PM of India. He has tasted the success of keeping silent and allowing the Sangh Parivaar to respond and deny. He is like a tiger which has tasted the human blood and becoming much more aggressive man hunter. He is continuing the same till people forget it. He talks about Swachcha… Read more »

Dear readers, These days PM Modi is copying whatever his best friend Barrack who denied and hugged later. While Indians who went to the US shore finding for ‘Green back’ uncle supported him like celebrity returned from Mars. His paid PR APCO worldwide copied ‘man ki bath’ from Barrak weekly address. Left hand man waving cheering ‘Baniyas’ crowd and may be eating ‘Dhokla’ in left hand and using ‘Toilet roles’ in same. He remained silent whenever he needs to address and to his reward by keeping silence. He and his ‘good governance’ continued to remain silent bullying voters 15lakh, black… Read more »
