Udupi: Shailaja (name changed), a resident of Umamaheshwar Bhajana Mandir locality in Ambalapadi here, has been reported to be missing since May 4.
Employed as a nurse in a hospital, her parents had decided on a marriage proposal for her. The marriage was scheduled to be held in the near future.
On May 4, while no one else was at home, she informed the neighbours that she had to buy clothes for the engagement ceremony and left. She has not returned ever since, nor any information is available regarding her whereabouts.
Souces close to her said that she was not willing to get married but she had expressed it so openly at home.
