Udupi: MLA Pramod Madhwaraj’s silence is affecting the constituency, alleged former MLA Raghupathi Bhat. He was addressing the mediapersons at a press meet held at the BJP Office, here on May 19.
“Instead of focusing on developing the Udupi constituency, he is busy distributing BPL cards and inaugurating various developmental projects initiated by others,” alleged Bhat.
“People have lost faith in the Congress led state government, which is affecting the development of the state. The projects proposed for the Udupi constituency are being implemented in the Kaup constituency and Pramod Madhwaraj is silent about it. A PG centre was proposed to be setup in Upoor but the same has been implemented in the Kaup constituency. The establishment of the PG centre inUpoor would have developed the area.”
“When the BJP was in power, Bramhavar was announced as a Taluk, but there is no definite move by the state government to implement the same. Vinay KumarSorake, Minister for Urban Development and Minister-in-charge of Udupi district, is acting more like the minister-in charge of Kaup constituency by upgrading Kaupas a TMC while failing to upgrade Bramhavar as a TMC.”
“Candidates supported by BJP have filed nominations in 19 Panchayats of theUdupi constituency. Party supported candidates will contest for 299 seats out of 327. The Nagrika Samithi will be contesting from Kemmannu and Varamballi to win against the Congress.”
“The Union Minister for Legal Affairs, D V Sadhananda Gowda, will inaugurate BJP’s Bramhavar office on May 22. A party workers convention addressed bySrinivas Poojary is being organized. A bike rally starting from the Karavali junction and culminating at Bramhavar will be flagged off by Opposition Leader SunilKumar.”
Bhat congratulated the SSLC and PUC students for their good performance in the exams. Raghavendra Kini, Satish Kumar, Shanker Poojary, Sunil Kumar, Girish,Kiran and others were present.
