Udupi: Rajesh Prabhu has set 3 records in World Records India for de-husking coconut by teeth, fingernails and bare feet, said Pundalika Marathe. He was addressing a press meet at Hotel Kediyoor here, on November 21.
Rajesh Prabhu, a resident of Pernal, is a tour manager at Vikram Travels and Resorts India Private Limited. He holds 3 amazing World Records for de-husking coconuts. He has a record for de-husking coconut by teeth in 22 seconds, by fingernails in 33 seconds and by bare feet in 46 seconds. He had set his world record in 2006 and they have now been recorded in the books of World Records India.
Prahbu says that monkeys influenced him to de-husk coconuts. Monkeys can be found in large numbers in Pernal-Pilarkhan area. They enter coconut farms and de-husk coconuts with their teeth. Looking at their acts, motivated him to de-husk coconuts. He also said that if he gets a chance, he would wish to participate in the Guinness records.
