Udupi: Reverence, Pomp, Pageantry Mark Pejawar Swamiji’s Paryaya

Udupi: The Ceremony of ascending the Sacred “Paryaya Sarvajna Peetha” by Pejawar Math Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji was held on January 18. The Paryaya Darbar programme was held at the Ananandathirtha Mantapa set up in the Parking area.

The President of Paryaya Mahotsava Samithi, Dr Veerendra Heggade welcomed the gathering. District Minister in-charge and also State Urban Development Minister, Vinay Kumar Sorake was welcomed with floral greetings.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji said, “It is the Blessing of God which has led me to acclaim the Paryaya peetha”. He said that, this Paryaya will witness a revolution in education. An educational campus will be built in a 40 acres land in Pajaka to cater to the educational needs of students of all communities.

Shri Krishna Math is visited by thousands of devotees and the basic needs of the devotees will be fulfilled. A parking space, rooms, toilets are to be constructed. Special attention will be given towards maintaining cleanliness in the premises of Sri Krishna Math. “The Paryaya Math will give importance to planting saplings in and across the district.” he added.

Vidyasagar Tirtha Swamiji of Krishnapur Math, Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swamiji of Palimar Math, Laxmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Shiroor Math and Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji, junior Swamiji of Pejawar Math. Vidyavallbha Tirtha Swamiji of Sode Math and Ishapriya Tirtha Swamiji of Adamar Math graced the occasion.

In his message L K Advani said, “Pejawar Swamiji has good relationship with the Swamijis of the Astha Maths, attending the Paryaya celebrations has brought me immense pleasure.”

Advani said that Udupi was the first city which promoted the party having Nationalistic approach. Udupi had gained special popularity for winning the CMC elections by the Jan Sangh. The historic Paryaya of Pejawar Swamiji is the one of the best programmes I have ever attended in my political career.

N Chandrababu Naidu the Chief Minister of Andrapradesh, Veerappa Moily, former CM Karnataka, Sadhwi Uma Bharathi Union minister of Water resources, B S Yeddyurappa former CM of Karnataka, Anantha Kumar Union minister for fertilisers, C M Ibrahim vice president of planning board Karnataka, D V Sadananda Gowda Union Minister for Law, R V Deshpande, H K Patil, Anjeneya U T Khadar, Abhyachandra Jain, (State Ministers), K S Eshwarappa, Prahalad Joshi, D H Shankermoorthy, Oscar Fernandes, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel also attended the Paryaya Celebrations.
