Udupi: Home minister K J George, on Saturday January 31, rubbished allegations made by leaders of the opposition that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had ordered de-notification of land.
He was speaking to mediapersons after receiving the guard of honour at the Inspection Bunglow, Bannanje Udupi here. The Home Minister said that the opposition party leaders were making baseless allegations against the Chief Minister, who did not ordered the de-notification of any land.
“No ministers will tender resignations to their posts. The rumors of 12 ministers submitting resignations to the cabinet are not true. The Siddaramaiah government is safe and no anti-party activities exist in the Congress.”
Naxal activities in the state are under control at present. A committee for the surrender of naxals led by the Chief Secretary of the government has been formed, with many senior citizens and civil rights activists as members. The government is ready to bring them back to the mainstream, provided they do not set any conditions. The government will implement suggestions to be made by the committee on providing facilities to the naxals who have surrendered.
Speaking on terror activities in the coastal district, the minister said that only a few people from Bhatkal were involved in terrorism.
