Udupi: Annamalai K, the District Superintendent of Police, has clarified to Mangalorean.com on Monday, December 14 that the rumours spread in the social media and some news media on his transfer are baseless. The Government of Karnataka has not issued any notification on his transfer, he clarified.
“I have been working for the betterment of the people in Udupi and if the other districts expect the same, there is nothing wrong with it. Same efforts will also be made there. Transfer orders are usually notified in January, and the rumours spread on the social media are baseless. People should not rely on these baseless rumours,” appealed Annamalai.
“Transfers are part of government functioning, and people should not listen to any rumours. I will be pained if students and any other organisations protest over this,” he added.
