Udupi SP Eleven Wins Friendly Cricket Tournament against Journalists Team

An initiative by the Superintendent of Police Dr Sanjeev M Patil, the city police organised 10-over-a-side cricket tournament.
Two teams each from the police and the media participated in the tournament. Deepak Jain led the media team while Dr Sanjeev M Patil led the police team. The media team won the toss and opted to field.
The district police team put up a score of 127 runs in 10 overs. The media team in spite of all the effort to beat the target lost the match by 12 runs. The media team scored 115 runs. The police team defeating the media team emerged as the winners of the tournament.
The police team captain SP Dr Sanjeev M Patil showed all-round performance in Batting, Bowling and fielding.
ASP’s Kumarchandra, Rishikesh Sonavane, DySP Kumaraswami, Praveen Nayak, Udupi district working Journalists association sports secretary Harish Palechar, Secretary Santhosh Saralebettu and others were present.
