Udupi SP Vishnuvardhan Conducts Surprise Inspection for Drug Peddling and Substance Abuse
Udupi: As the state government is working on strict action to crackdown against drug peddling and substance abuse, the Udupi SP Vishnuvardhan conducted a surprise inspection at the Kalsanka Junction and personally checked vehicles.
SP Vishnuvardhan and Additional SP Kumarchandra checked the vehicles and imposed fines on those violating the Motor vehicle rules. Around 115 traffic cases were booked, and Rs 65,000 fine was collected from the violators.
Speaking to the media, SP Vishnuvaradhan said, “today we conducted a surprise inspection and checked several vehicles. This is a routine process, and today many cases for traffic violation were reported. In two-three days we will hold a parade of the drug peddlers and will take strict action against drug peddling and substance abuse”.
