Udupi: The new block of Adarsha Hospital was inaugurated by Shrei Shivarathri Deshikendra Maha Swamiji of Suttur Veera Simhasana Mahasamsthana Mysore here on Wednesday January 14.
The programme began with an invocation, Dr G S Chandrashekar Medical Director of Adarsha Hospital delivered the introductory remarks and welcomed the gathering.
The Stage programme was inaugurated by Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Adarmar Math Udupi along with Shri Shivarathri Deshikendra Maha Swamiji and Msgr Baptist Menezes Vicar General of Udupi Diocese.
In their message all the guests praised the quality health care services rendered by the Adarsha Hospital. The New block would go a long way in benefitting all community people. And also hoped that the Hospital would provide quality health care services which would be affordable to the poor.
Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj presided over the function. Vinay Kumar Sorake district minister in-charge, Oscar Fernandes Rajyasabha Member, Dr N Vijaya Ballal Administrative Trustee of Shri Janardhana Mahakali Temple Ambalapady, Kota Shrinivasa Poojary MLC, Jayaprakash Hegde Ex-MP Udupi-Chikmagalur, Yuvaraj, Raghupathi Bhat, U R Sabhapathi, Lalaji R Mendon Ex-MLA’s, Bharamegowda of Syndicate Bank, G S Siddaramappa Patron, Adarsha Group were present.
Vimala Chandrashekar delivered the vote of Thanks, Kudi Vasantha Shetty compered the programme.
Adarsha Hospital was started in the year 2005 with the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna and inaugurated by Shri Vibhudesha Theertha Swamiji of Adamar Math Udupi. The hospital started with the motto of providing quality health care at an affordable cost to all sections of society. Since 2005 Aadrsha Hospital has been progressing year after year. The first expansion was done in the year 2008 with the addition of 40 beds and in the year 2010 the super specialty departments like Cardiology and Neurosurgery were started.
In the new block of the hospital, the rooms have been arranged as per the present needs of the public. The Parking facility of the hospital has improved with 2 basement floors; it can easily accommodate 50 cars and 200 two wheelers
