Udupi: The Town police arrested three persons on the charge of cricket betting here on Thursday March 19.
The arrested have been identified as Sukesh Rao, Anand and Ramesh residents of Udupi
The Udupi Town police received credible information that some people were betting on the world cup match between Bangladesh and India. The town police Station SI T S Madhu and his team raided an apartment near Beedinagudde and seized Rs 3.88 lakh in cash, 6 Cell phones and 2 TV sets from the accused.
A case has been registered in the town police station and further investigations are on.
