Udupi: To give wide publicity across the district for the Hindu Samajotsava the Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal flagged off the Publicity vehicle ‘Vijaya Ratha’ at Krishna Math premises here on February 24.
To Mark the golden jubilee celebrations of Vishwa Hindu Parishat, a Hindu Samajotsava will be held on March 9 at the MGM Ground Udupi.
Shree Vidyavallbhatheertha Swamiji of Paryaya Kaniyoor Math flagged off the Publicity Vehicle and wished all success to the organizers and appealed the organisers to conduct the Hindu Samajotsava peacefully.
District Vishwa Hindu Parishat president Suprasad Shetty speaking to the mediapersons said that more than one lakh people are expected to gather. A procession will be held from Jodukatte to the MGM Ground on March 9 at 2:00 pm. Praveen Bhai Togadia, international President of Vishwa Hindu Parishat, will deliver the keynote address. Shree Vishweshatheertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math will grace the occasion. Dr M Mohan Alva, President of golden jubilee celebration committee of Vishwa Hindu Parishat, will preside over the function. Dignitaries from the community, swamijis, heads of various organisations and general public will participate.
Manohar Shetty honourary president of Hindu Samajotsava, Shambhu Shetty RSS leader, former MLA’s Raghupati Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon, Bajrang Dal leader Sunil KR, Vasudeva Bhat, BJP Leaders Somshekar Bhat, Shyamala Kundar, Yaspal Suvarna, Sheela K Shetty and others were present.
