Udupi: A drunk pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a truck near Uchila here on Wednesday, May 13.
The injured has been identified as Thimmaiah (48), a contract worker of Navayuga Road Construction Company. Thimmaiah hails from Pagina, Andra Pradesh.
According to the police, on Wednesday Thimmaiah was walking on NH 66 in Uchila when the truck plying from Udupi to Calicut hit him. His right hand has been severely injured and he has been admitted to a private hospital.
A case has been registered in the Padubidri Police Station.
