Udupi: TV Journalists under Police Scanner for Interviewing Bannanje Raja

Udupi: The police department has served notices to 3 private channels for relaying the interview of underworld element Bannanje Raja.

The journalists and anchors have been served notices. They will have to present before Annamalai K., District Superintendent of Police and submit the details of the interview.

Police sources say that the journalists and anchors are booked under Section 2 Karnataka Prevention of Organised Crime Act (KCOCA)

It is for the first time in the country the media persons have been served notices for interviewing underworld elements. Police have also questioned journalists and anchors of 3 private channels in this regard.
