Udupi: The two years of Congress rule in Karnataka has ruined the developmental initiatives said Shobha Karandlaje, MP Udupi – Chikkamangluru LS Constituency. She was addressing the media persons at the press meet held at the BJP Office, here on May 18.
The Congress organized Sarvodaya Samavesha to highlight their achievements of two years but they were busy projecting their political perspectives in the convention rather than highlighting developmental initiatives.
The various departments of the government are not functioning well, the social centered schemes like Annabhagya, Ksheerbhagya and Shadibhagya do not reach the beneficiaries. The people of Uttarkannada do not eat rice but they are provided with 30 kg of free rice. The rice supplied to people under Annabhagya scheme is benefitting Tamilnadu’s Amma Idli.
The Congress government should disclose the beneficiaries of Shadibhagya Yojane. The developmental initiatives proposed earlier by the BJP government are sidelined by the Congress government. The Bhagalakshmi bond distributed to 2.5 to 3 lakh beneficiaries is reduced to 1 lakh.
The Congress government claims itself as the ambassador of Ahinda group but they are just vote bank during elections for Congress. The government has failed to initiate developmental projects for the Ahinda group in 2 years.
PM Narendra Modi had invited CM Siddaramaih to China during his visit but he refused. The investment centered companies are not interested to invest in Karnataka due to the arrogance of the Congress government.
The BJP has taken the Gram Panchayat elections very seriously and the state leaders are touring the legislative assemblies. The 5 year term for the Panchayat president is a good initiative towards developing the Panchayat. B S Yedurappa will tour Byndoor and Kundapur on May 20 and D V Sadananda Gowda will tour Udupi on May 22.
The 50% women reservation will strengthen women in developing panchayats. The BJP candidates will win 120 gram panchayats out of the 155. BJP will contest 11 seats in Belapu Gram Panchayat for the first time, she added.
Tingale Vikramarjun Hegde, Yaspal Suvarna, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Geethanjali Suvarna and Sandhya Ramesh were present.

Did you forget all the ‘Reddy-Yeddy’ drama/fight during BJP days? The only thing people remember from state BJP rule is fight, fight and more fight within the party members. You have zero credibility when it comes to governance.
