Udupi: VHP and BD hold Mathr Sangama to Mark Hindu Samajotsava

Udupi: Indian culture is rich and its fine arts are globally recognized. Mothers should educate their children on Indian culture and heritage, said renowned Barathanatyam artist, Lakshmi Gururaj.

She was speaking on the Mothers Convention (Mathr Sangama) in preparation of the Hindu Samajotsava organized by VHP and Bajrangadal at Ram Vital Sabhabhavana, Pejawar Math, Udupi on February 3.

“The education system in India is influencing western culture. Our culture teaches us to respect our elders and teachers, and by promoting Indian culture among children, we can bring a desirable change in them,” he added.

Suprabha Acharya, President of Kadiyali Matheyara Mandali, said, “The exploitation of women is at its peak and necessary changes can be done if children are trained on Indian culture and community living. The Hindu culture flourishes the community living,” she added.

BJP Mahila Morcha President Sheela K Shetty; State BJP Secretary Shymala Kunder, Malathi Acharya, Padmarao, Rama G Rao and others were present. Vasudev Bhat delivered the keynote address. Vani compered the programme.
