Udupi : In a strange and bizarre incident challenging medical science, a girl has been admitted to Prasad Eye Hospital for lacrimation of pieces of wood.
Shrinidhi, a resident of Heradi Barkur, as claimed by her family members,lacrimated wooden pieces. Her mother, Geetha Nayak with the help of locals have admitted her to Prasad Netralaya.
Dr. Krishna Prasad and his team conducted a preliminary examination of her eyes and have kept her under observation. The doctors claim that lacrimation of wooden pieces is impossible.
Shrinidhi was earlier diagnosed for low eye sight. She has no sight in one eye by birth but doctors then replaced the non-functional eye with a plastic replacement. Her left eye possesses 30% visibility and she is 90% blind. Dr. Krishna Prasadsays that she was diagnosed a few days ago.
The economic condition of the family is poor. Geetha is a daily wage labourer and the sole bread winner of the family as her husband died a few years ago.Shrinidhi has two other sisters who are also dependents.
