Udupi ZP Staff Test Positive for Coronavirus; ZP office to Close for a day on May 26 – CEO Preeti Gehlot
Udupi: “The Udupi Zilla panchayat office will be closed for a day after an outsourced employee was tested positive for the coronavirus”, said the CEO of ZP Preeti Gehlot.
Speaking to mangalorean.com ZP CEO, Preeti Gehlot said, “On May 25, an outsourced employee of the Udupi Zilla panchayat was tested positive for the coronavirus. The district administration has decided to sanitise the ZP office on Tuesday, May 26 so the Zilla panchayat office will be closed for a day”.
Preeti Gehlot further said, “The staff had last worked on May 19 morning and had reported having fever, immediately sent for the test. On May 19, we had sanitised the table area where the staff was working. On May 25, he was tested positive for coronavirus. We have not sanitised or sealed down the office. Tomorrow, May 26 we will close the Zilla panchayat office”, she said.
“The 4 high-risk contacts have been tested. On May 26 morning arrangements have been made to test the other primary contacts. As per the results of the other primary contacts, we will take the necessary measures. All the staff have been instructed to undergo home quarantine”, she said.
