‘Ukraine has unlimited trade potential with Poland’
Kiev: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in Warsaw that Poland is Ukraine’s second-largest trading partner in the European Union, and the potential of bilateral cooperation has no limits, according to a statement from the Ukrainian president’s official website.
During the briefing that followed his meeting with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda, Zelensky said on Saturday that the meeting of Ukrainian-Polish intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation will be held soon, Xinhua news agency reported.
Zelensky expressed hope for an active dialogue between the governments of the two countries in the framework of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation to make sure that the next meeting will take place shortly.
The two heads of state also discussed the prospects of increasing economic cooperation between the two countries, the statement said.
In 2018 goods and services trade with Poland amounted to almost 7.5 billion US dollars, which increased by 12.4 per cent over the previous year, according to the information provided by the Ukrainian embassy in Poland.
