Unable to pay EMI, Taxi Driver Commits Suicide in Manipal

Udupi: A middle-aged person allegedly committed suicide on September 15 night at Manipal after he failed to pay the housing loan.

The deceased has been identified as Raghavendra, a native of Kundapur. He was working as a taxi driver in Udupi and residing at the Suvidha Apartments near Manipal.

According to the police, Raghavendra had taken a housing loan from a nationalised bank and was unable to pay the instalments for the past three to four months. Depressed Raghavendra committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence.

The Manipal Police visited the spot and have registered a case
