Unable to Repay Loan, 30-year-old Youth from Hiriyadka Commits Suicide
Udupi: A 30-year-old youth who was running a security agency in Bengaluru committed suicide in Hiriyadka on July 24 as he was unable to repay the loan.
The deceased has been identified as Ashish (30), a resident of Bommarabettu near Hiriyadka.
According to the police, Ashish was running a security agency in Bengaluru. When the government announced the lockdown, Ashish returned to his native place in Hiriyadka.
It is learnt that Ashish had taken a loan from a moneylender. When Ashish suffered a loss in his business, the moneylender kept on demanding him to repay the loan. Ashish was under pressure and discussed the matter with his family members.
On July 24, Ashish committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. Ashish is survived by wife and a son.
A case has been registered in Hiriyadka Police station.
