Managaluru: Shekar Nalke (30) was facing charges of sexual assault on an underage girl in Kadaba and was in Mangaluru jail for the last ten months.
On Friday, he complained of severe stomach-ache and was admitted to the prisoners’ cell of Wenlock hospital here.
On Sunday night, his condition worsened and he breathed his last. Kidney failure has been cited as the cause of death.
