Underworld Don Vicky Shetty’s Aide Accused in Entrepreneur Shootout Case arrested
Mangaluru: The accused wanted in the entrepreneur Vijayendra Bhat shootout and 6 other cases was arrested by the South Sub Division anti-rowdy squad on August 30.
The arrested has been identified as Dikshit Poojary (31) from Niddel Maroli and aide of Underworld Don Vicky Shetty.
According to the police, Dikshit was involved in the shootout in Ballalbagh on Vijayendra Bhat on the orders of underworld don Vicky Shetty. Dikshit was wanted in 7 cases including the shootout case and was absconding since two years without appearing before the court.
On August 30, the Mangaluru South Anti-rowdy squad received information about the accused. Under the leadership of South ACP T Kodandaram, Dikshit was arrested.
Dikshit was wanted in various cases including murder, attempt to murder and shootout. 3 cases of murder and Shootout have been filed in the Barke police station, assault case in Mangaluru North, Ganja and assault case in Mangaluru East, assault case in Suratkal, assault case in Urwa and a case under the Arms Act in Udupi. Dikshit was absconding from the past two years and the court had issued a warrant for his arrest. Dikshit was arrested and handed over to the Ullal police for further investigations.
Under the direction of Police commissioner Dr Harsha and the able guidance of DCP Law and Order Arunagshu, DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh and ACP T Kodandaram the operation was carried out by the Mangaluru South Sub Division Anti-rowdy Squad.
