Unidentified Men on Motorbike Assault Two youth in Ullal, Section 144 imposed

Mangaluru: Unidentified men on a motorbike assaulted two youth at Manjanadi, Konaje here on November 12.

The injured have been identified as Sameer (21), a resident of Ananth Nagar Manjanadi and Nawaz (25) from Arangandi, Manjanadi.

According to sources, two unidentified men came on a motorbike and asked for road directions with Sameer. When he was giving the
directions, they stabbed him. They stabbed another youth, Nawaz, half a kilometer further and fled from the spot.

On November 10, an RSS leader, Ram Mohan, was also assaulted by unidentified persons travelling on a motorbike with machetes. Various organizations have already met the police commissioner seeking protection in Ullal area. In this connection, a protest rally has been planned at Thokkottu junction on November 15.

Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar and Minister for Food and Civil Supplies UT Khader visited the hospital and met the victims.

Sameer and Nawaz are said to be out of danger and recovering. A case has been registered in the Konaje police station.

In order to keep the situation under control, Police commissioner
Chandra Sekhar has imposed section 144 prohibitory orders in Konaje and Ullal police station limits from 12 November 11:00 pm to 15 November 10:00 pm.
