Addressing the reporters at the Congress Bhavan Udupi, Krishna Byre Gowda said, “The people of Kodagu have already felt that they are neglected, the union government has hurt the feeling of Kannadigas and also the Kodava people. The central government should keep aside political differences and announce compensation for Kodagu district”.

When reporters asked about Karnataka Public Works Department (PWD) minister H D Revanna being more active then chief minister Kumaraswamy, Krishna Byre Gowda said that only the media is in confusion about the chief minister. There is no confusion in our cabinet about the chief minister. Revanna is working actively in the cabinet which is true, but he is not the chief minister and it is clear, he said.

The party workers should highlight the failures of the Union government during the last 4 years. The Union government has failed on all fronts. “It’s our responsibility to expose the misdeeds of the BJP”, he said.

Krishna Byre Gowda also said that all sections of the society including farmers, youth, dalits, businessmen, students and ex-servicemen are feeling betrayed and let down by the Narendra Modi government.
