Unsatisfied souls find bliss in criticizing Hinduism – K S Eshwarappa

Udupi: Minister Tanveer Sait should apologise and resign for viewing objectionable pictures in his Smartphone in a public programme said K.S Eshwarappa, Leader of the Opposition Legislative Council. He was speaking to the media persons during his visit to Sri Krishna Math here on November 12.

Chief Minister terms the act as media slander, instead of initiating action against the minister who is holding the education portfolio, CM is defending him. While BJP was power in the state it had sacked its ministers for viewing porn in the assembly. The people expect the same action from the Chief Minister.

When asked about the hefty spending on Janardhan Reddy’s daughter’s marriage, Eshwarappa said that it is his family matter and declined to comment.

The 68% grant released to the state by the center was completely utilized for drought affected areas but the state government failed to spend its 32% grant for the affected areas. The state government should formulate effective policies to tackle drought in the state.

When asked on Jayaprakash Hegde and Halady Srinivas Shetty’s of being inducted to party on November 27, Eshwarappa said that consultations are on with the BJP leaders to welcome leaders from the Congress and JDS into its fold. Leaders joining BJP should accept its ideology and work for the people, he added.
