Upgradation of B C Road-Sakleshpur Highway to Begin in Dec
Bengaluru: In response to a question raised by MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary in the upper house of legislature on Tuesday, Dr H C Mahadevappa, state minister of public works, ports and inland water transport, has said that the four-laning work on the B C Road-Sakleshpur stretch of the national highway will be taken up by the end of December later this year.
The minister said that the project had been approved through the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The highway is expected to be upgraded in accordance with a detailed project report received in the matter.
The realignment of bends and turns and a more scientific demarcation of median points are part of the project. The contract has been entrusted to Larsen and Toubro, the minister said.
