Uppinangady police Arrest 7 Persons Engaged in Andar – Bahar
Uppinangady: Seven persons have been arrested in Marjala, Beltangady here on August 10.
The arrested have been identified as Sundar Achary (35), Laxman (35), Sathish (40), Naveen (42), Adam (42), Iqbal (38) and Mohammed Shafi (23), all from Thannirupantha.
According to the Uppinangady police, the accused were involved in gambling at Marjala. On getting reliable information the Uppinangady police raided the spot and arrested 7 persons involved in gambling.
The police seized Rs 21,510, 3 motorcycles and a car from their possession. A case has been registered in the Uppinangady police station under 87 KP Act.
