Valedictory of Epitome 2020- a National Level Intercollegiate IT and Engineering Fest organized by the Postgraduate Departments of IT St. Aloysius College of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT)
Mangaluru: The much-awaited Valedictory function of 20th Edition of the National Level IT & Engineering fest “EPITOME 2020” was held in Arthur Shenoi Auditorium, Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Beeri, Mangalore on 13th March at 4.15 PM. The Chief Guest was Ms. Corrine Rasquinhas, the Founder and President of White Doves. The guest of honor was International Business Consultant Mr. Max Rasquinhas and president of the function was Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ, Director of AIMIT.
Royston Rodrigues, the student co-ordinator introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. The chief guest, Ms. Corrine Rasquinha addressed the gathering. She shared her life experiences with the audience. She explained how wonderfully God worked in her life and helped her to overcome the struggles that life had thrown her way. She emphasized on the fact that everyone who has been born has a mission in her/his life. It’s their duty to bloom and blossom wherever they have been planted in life.
Vivek Muchalagudd gave a brief introduction of the Guest of Honor to the gathering. Mr. Max Rasquinha addressed the gathering and shared how Indians are thought of as hardworking and good people. He shared his personal experiences as well and talked about how advanced the technology has become. He pointed out that life is too short to be played with, that it should be respected and nurtured properly. Mr. Max Rasquinha even gifted the Chief Guest and a lucky student a copy of his own book and also handed out goodies to several students.
Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ thanked the two esteemed guests for motivating the students by sharing their own life experiences. He pointed out that these two people are the great role models and inspirations for the students to reach out to people who are in need. He emphasized that wealth is not a factor that will bring happiness in our lives but reaching out to others in need and helping them in our own ways is.
Finally, the results of various events were declared and the certificates and the trophies were distributed. PA College of Engineering bagged the overall championship trophy and runner’s up trophy was secured by Yenepoya Institute of Technology. Ms. Akanksha Jadhav, assistant student coordinator offered a vote of thanks. The two-day run of the IT fest concluded with the National Anthem. The program was compered by Ms. Lidia Cleetus.
