VHP and BD demand State Govt to withdraw all cases against Hindu outfit leaders
Udupi: The Udupi district Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists held a protest at Chitpadi on Monday, July 31.
Addressing the gathering VHP DK district president Jagadish Shenava criticised the state government for being biased in the Sharath Madiwala investigations. The Police and the state government are filing false charges in connection with recent incidents in Bantwal taluk. This has proved that the government is appeasing the minorities. When Muslim Leader Ashraf was killed, within a day the culprits were arrested. But the culprits behind the murder of RSS worker Sarath Madiwala have not been arrested even one month after his death. The Police have also ‘failed’ to file cases against those who pelted stones during the Sharath’s funeral procession.
The Police Department, on the instructions of Ramanath Rai, has been filing false cases against Hindu outfit leaders. The chief minister is concerned only about securing his seat. The state government is conspiring to divide the Hindu community. The concerned authorities have turned a blind eye towards the illegal transportation of cattle. The oppression of Hindus in the state should stop, he demanded.
A particular community is planning to make Dakshina Kannada district into another Kashmir. We should not allow that to happen. Hindu Youth should come forward to protect our Hindu Religion. Those students who are promoting Hindu Culture in their schools and colleges should take the lead in banning CFI units in their colleges.
The gathering made 5 resolutions on the occasion they are: NIA investigation into the RSS workers murder besides withdrawal of cases against Hindu outfit leaders. They also demanded the withdrawal of cases filed against Hindu leaders Sharan Pumpwell, Satyajit Surathkal, Muralikrishna Hamsathadka, Harish Poonja and Pradeep Pumpwell. The government which is now planning to invoke Goonda Act on Hindu leaders should be stopped. The state government should stop Anti-Hindu policies.
Vilas Nayak Udupi district president of VHP said that there is only one way to stop the attacks on Hindus and that is for us to unite in coming days. We should start our Hindu associations in every gram panchayat level and fight for justice. Students and youth should join hands to build Hindu Outfits in every GP level.
The ‘Dharma Sansad’ scheduled to be held in November in Udupi is a opportunity to show our Unity. Saints and seers from across the country will participate in the Sansad in Udupi district. We should all work together to make it a successful event, he added.
Tributes were offered to Sharath Madiwala on the occasion. Hindu Leader Raghu Sakleshpur, Sunil K R, Dinesh Mendon, Suprabha Acharya and others were present.
