VHP to Hold Mega Protest Against Abhaychandra Jain in Moodbidri

Mangaluru: “Being a responsible person, for political gain, Abhaychandra Jain has insulted the Swamiji of Shree Kshethra Karinje Sri Sri Muktananda Swamiji while speaking at the party meeting which will not be tolerated by VHP and BD. Abhaychandra Jain has shown disregard to the Swamiji which has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu Society. Abhaychandra Jain is not capable to be in a responsible position, he should resign from his post”, said the Working president of VHP Prof M B Puranik in a meeting held at the VHP office, Kadri here on March 17.

Addressing the gathering Prof Puranik said, “The VHP and Bajrang Dal have given a call for a protest against the MLA of Moodbidri Abhaychandra Jain for insulting Muktananda Swamiji. The members of the Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike, Hindu organizations, Swamijis from various Temples and Maths and Hindu leaders, will take part in the protest. Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math and Manila Shree will also take part in the protest. The protest will be held on March 19, the protest march will start from Sri Venkataramana Temple and will culminate at the Swaraj Maidan Moodbidri. The organizing secretary of VHP GopalJi will address the protesters. People should voluntarily close down their businesses and join the protest.”

When asked about supporting Pratibha Kulai, Sharan Pumpwell said, “We have heard that one of the Congress leaders had harassed Pratibha Kulai and she had openly given a statement to Durgavahini. If any woman or girl from the Hindu society will be harassed we will support them.”

When asked why the VHP and BD is silent in the construction of the Ram Mandir, wherein during the last elections it was a hot issue, Prof Puranik said, “For the VHP or Bajrang Dal, we have the Dharma Sansad and constructing the Ram Mandir is the decision of the Swamijis who have taken part in the Dharma Sansad which was held in Udupi in 2017.”

Sharan Pumpwell said, “In the Dharma Sansad a decision was taken to construct the Ram Mandir by 2019. From March 18, we will hold the “Ishtadevatha Japa Sankalpa” for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Every day we will recite the Japa 108 times till March 31.”

Shivanand Mendon and Gopal Kuthar were also present.
