Udupi: Political strategy of the Congress is only development and serving the society and not like the BJP whose political vendetta is spreading baseless rumours said Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development and Minister in-charge district. He was speaking after releasing the election manifesto of Kaup town municipality elections at Rajiv Bhavan, Kaup here on April 12.
The Bharaitya Janatha Party makes tall claims on giving effective governance and promoting development but their leaders can be seen opposing the creation of Kaup town municipality council. The BJP panchayat presidents who gave their nod to the creation of Kaup TMC are denied the tickets, which itself proves that they are still opposing the creation of TMC.
“Congress will push forward the proposal for the creation of Kaup taluk; we want to develop Kaup as the centre with all basic facilities”. “We are not over confident of winning Kaup constituency but our party workers are effectively working in all the 23 wards to win the elections”.
The programmes in the manifesto include, Sudha Ganga Yojana to promote water management. Other projects include waste management unit, underground drainage system and tourism development.
