Vinay Kumar Sorake to file nomination papers on April 23
Udupi: Congress candidate from Kaup assembly constituency, Vinay Kumar Sorake will file his nomination papers on April 23.
Addressing a press conference held here on Friday, Vinay Kumar Sorake said that he is fully prepared for the elections wherein he will emerge victorious and Congress will gain a clear majority in the state. Before filing his nomination Sorake will be visiting Sri Krishna Temple, Kaup Marigudi Temple, Kaup Janardhana Temple, Polipu Juma Masjid and Udyavar St Francis Xavier Church to seek the God’s blessings. Thereafter He will be visiting the Congress Bhavan from where he will go in a procession to the Returning officers center at Bannanje and file his nomination papers.
As preparation for the assembly elections, workers conferences will be organized on April 21 at Hiriyadka and Shirva.
“Congress will get a majority with 130 seats. We are endeavoring to develop from panchayat level to taluk level. So far Kaup had no personality in the state. There are a couple of plans and projects for execution, for example, development of a mini Vidhana Soudha and other government buildings. There is scope for tourism development and generating more employment here. Kaup can possibly excel in all ways. My want is to make Kaup a prosperous city in all angles, ” Sorake said.
“I took part in the convention for NRIs held in the Gulf to create awareness on voting. There were around 2000 NRIs in the convention ,” he educated.
