Vinayaraj Condemns Modi’s Comments on Rajiv Gandhi, Says PM is Running Away from Real Issues
Mangaluru: “In this Lok Sabha election, four phases are already over and the fifth phase of the election is currently underway. Based on the four completed election phases, the BJP party and PM Modi are well-aware of the fact that the BJP will not form the Government in this election. That is why PM Modi has started speaking like a person with no sense of humanity. Before insulting the Late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Modi should have thought about the fact that he was born in the same region as Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The low and inferior manner in which he has spoken about a deceased former Prime Minister shows that this country has never seen a Prime Minister like Modi. He has shown the whole world the kind of language a Chaiwala turned Prime Minister would use. We condemn the language used by Prime Minister Modi”, said Congress spokesperson A C Vinayaraj in a press meet held at the DCC Office, Mallikatta here, on May 6.
Addressing the mediapersons Vinayaraj said, “Rajiv Gandhi introduced India to technology such as Mobile phones and Computers. Yesterday, they spoke about the Bofors scam. However, no investigative agency found any evidence of corruption against Rajiv Gandhi. During the Kargil war, former Prime Minister Vajpayee had said that it was because of the Bofors Gun that the Indian army had strength and courage to fight the Pakistani army. He had also praised Rajiv Gandhi and called him a great leader.”
Vinayaraj further said, “If there has been a Prime Minister that has always run away from the real issues of the elections, then that Prime Minister is Modi. We are just asking him to talk about whether he has fulfilled all the promises he made five years ago. Modi had promised that he would create 2 crore jobs per year, uplift farmers, supply electricity to the poor, and bring back black money. Instead of talking about all these issues, he is only talking about the Nehru family and the Indian army. Recently, he said that the army had been playing video games before he became Prime Minister. Modi has also insulted the Indian army. On the other hand, he also claims that the Indian army is Modi’s army. The people of this country are watching him and they will surely teach him a lesson.”
MLC and Parliamentary Secretary Ivan D’Souza, DCC General Secretary Santosh Kumar Shetty, and others were also present.
